Main objective
The aim of this project is to create the Scientific Observatory for School Attendance; a reference centre for the collection of information, generation of reports, development of research, offering of formative training actions and promotion awareness campaigns against school attendance problems and early school leaving.
Specific objectives
Create the Scientific Observatory for School Attendance.
Analyse the latest advances and results from the reports and research on school attendance problems and early school leaving to inform decision-making.
Generate accurate and up-to-date knowledge on school attendance problems, especially in disadvantaged educational contexts and with students with fewer opportunities, considering individual, school, family, socio-cultural and economic factors.
Disseminate an action protocol against school attendance problems and early school leaving.
Offer advice and training plans to professionals in the field of education and other related sciences and to parents regarding the prevention and management of school attendance problems.
Promote online knowledge in order to facilitate interactions, disseminate good practices and evaluate educational and social policies.
Promote more awareness for regular school attendance and the defence of the right to education.
