Observatory SOS-Attendance Round Table Discussion in SpainOn May 26, 2025, a key event of the SOS-Attendance project took place at the University of Alicante, Spain. More than 25 participants, including educators, researchers, and local stakeholders, gathered to discuss the multifaceted impact of school absenteeism on academic achievement, personal development, social integration, and future professional opportunities.
This roundtable provided an important opportunity to raise awareness about the consequences of poor school attendance and to share the ongoing efforts of the SOS-Attendance Observatory. During the meeting, attendees were introduced to the training courses and awareness campaign materials designed to support schools, families, and communities in addressing absenteeism.
The event served as a platform for collaboration, reflection, and dissemination, contributing to the local engagement and visibility of the project’s key messages and tools.
