On June 19 and 20, the final conference of the SOS-Attendance project took place at the Faculty of Education of the University of Alicante in Spain. During this event, partners from Turkey, Italy, Portugal, and Spain gathered to discuss the project's progress after three years of research.
On the first day, all partners were welcomed, and each team presented the results they had achieved. Among them, we had the opportunity to meet, for the first time, the newest addition to the project in this final phase: the team from Portugal. They introduced their collaborators and shared all the progress they had already made, despite having recently joined the initiative.
That same day, a project evaluation session was conducted, along with a focus group activity aimed at proposing the next steps for the SOS-Attendance observatory.
On the second day, the "II International Workshop: Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Global Strategies to Address School Attendance Problems" was held, featuring presentations from members of each country on the issue of school refusal at an international level.
Afterwards, the awards ceremony for the SOS-Attendance poster contest for students and education professionals in Spain took place, showcasing the winners in each category.
Finally, a farewell ceremony was held in which each country received a commemorative gift, marking the end of this last conference of the SOS-Attendance project.

Many thanks to all our partners for being part of it!
