Italian team dissemination results of the SOS-Attendance project

Last week, the Italian team of the European project SOS-Attendance made a significant contribution to the dissemination of its results through national digital media, with a feature published in the newspaper Messina Oggi.

Led by Professors Luana Sorrenti and Pina Filippello from the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Messina, the team collaborated with several secondary schools in the region. Among them, Liceo “Bisazza” in Messina played a leading role in coordinating local efforts.

The initiative focused on developing shared tools for prevention and intervention in educational settings, aimed at reducing school dropout rates and promoting inclusive practices. These tools were co-created with educators and students, ensuring relevance and applicability in real classroom contexts.

This media coverage marks an important step in raising awareness about the project’s goals and outcomes, and in strengthening the collaboration between schools and universities across Europe.
